谁念西风独自凉，
萧萧黄叶闭疏窗，
沉思往事立残阳。
被酒莫惊春睡重，
赌书消得泼茶香，
当时只道是寻常。

Who’d care the lonely west wind bleak and blind？
Of casements I shut out swishing swoosh leaves,
The setting sun calls the past to my mind.
Naps after drinks were sound and deep in springs,
Much fun we had with tea games bet on poems,
Which then I thought mere ordinary things.
